Athelas New Music Festival 2013

Athelas New Music Festival aims at presenting the newest, most daring, consequent and most challenging contemporary music by both Danish and international composers and musicians of our time. ANMF also encourages existing tendencies towards cross-cultural concerts and collaborates on creating new projects. Music is at the core of the festival, but many of today’s young composers have a clear tendency towards crossing the borders between different art forms and media and naturally move into a cross-cultural field. ANMF takes up this tendency and enhances it. The festival is not only curator, but also producer and co-producer of a number of projects of the program that challenge the artists to go deeper into the field they already are looking into. The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation supports Athelas New Musik Festival in 2013, when the festival will host 16 concerts and events during the festival’s eight days.
