Concert Series of oh ton-ensemble

oh ton e.V., Oldenburg, Germany

For many years now the oh ton-ensemble has worked closely with Klaus Huber and so this renowned New Music ensemble from Lower Saxony is now taking the occasion of his 90th birthday to dedicate a program to him. The birthday concert is being supported by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation. The focus of the concert is the juxtaposition of works by internationally renowned composers – indeed including Klaus Huber as well as Karlheinz Stockhausen, Iannis Xenakis and Heiner Goebbels – with the work of young composers. Composition commissions have been issued to Sergej Newski from Russia, Judit Varga from Hunfgary and Benjamin Helmer from Germany.
The oh ton-ensemble’s concert projects will be studied and performed in Oldenburg. Repeat performances of the program are, however, already scheduled for Lingen, Osnabrück and Bremen.
