SiMN 2014 – International Symposium of New Music and Computer Music

Núcleo Música Nova, Curitiba, Brazil

In 2014 the main focus of SiMN will be researching the connections between New Music in general and electronic or computer-based music in particular – both from a musicological and artistic perspective.
This is to take the form of concerts, master classes, readings and workshops as well as open panel discussions and publications. In 2014 SiMN has invited Claus-Steffen Mahnkopf and Dániel Péter Biró as instructors. The artists and performers this year include pianists Ermis Theodorakis from Greece and Catarina Domenici from Brazil, Canada’s Tsilumos Ensemble as well as the Nih-Nik Ensemble – also from Brazil. All events of the symposium supported by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation are open to the public and free of charge.

September 13 –18, 2014
