The Concert Hall Transformed

Monday Evening Concerts, Los Angeles, USA

Monday Evening Concerts have been held in Los Angeles since as early as 1939. New works and the latest pieces have now been performed from December to April on every second Monday of the month since 2006. With the support of the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation three concert evenings will be held featuring works by Mauricio Kagel, Frank Denyer, Alvin Lucier, James Tenney and Georg Friedrich Haas. By way of thematic introductions Sunday Morning Films are also screened to complement the Monday Evening Concerts – for instance Kagel’s film Ludwig Van in collaboration with the Goethe Institute of Los Angeles.
