Konzertzyklus Pierluigi Billone

Festival d'Automne à Paris

It has been a tradition, since the early years of Festival d’Automne à Paris in the 70s, to present programs focusing on one composer every year. Apart from Igor Stravinsky, Anton Webern, Bruno Maderna and Arnold Schoenberg, most of these portraits have been dedicated to living composers such as Steve Reich, Pierre Boulez, Mauricio Kagel a.o. In 2010 the Festival aims at bringing to light ODER bringing into the limelight the music of Pierluigi Billone, which is rarely performed and mainly unknown in France. He will be invited for the very first time by the Festival, with a repertoire and new works written for specific instruments and for ensemble. Some works will be performed in the perspective of works by Misato Mochizuki, Heinz Holliger, Beat Furrer and Helmut Lachenmann, who was one of his teachers.
