Composition Commission issued to Paolo Cavallone

Stroma New Music Ensemble, Wellington, New Zealand

In September 2011 the Stroma New Music Ensemble together with the Italian flautist will be holding a concert featuring works of contemporary music. As part of this concert with the support of the EvS Music Foundation a commissioned work by the young Italian composer Paolo Cavallone will be premiered. Cavallone spent six months in New Zealand in 2010 – the close musical relationship between New Zealand and Italy developing during this time is to be perpetuated with this flute concert and the close collaboration that this entails.
