Composition Commission as Part of the Munich Biennale 2012

The Chinese government has named the year 2012 the “Chinese Culture Year in Germany”. This is a welcome occasion to hold a concert featuring only Chinese music as part of the 2012 Munich Biennale. The works to be performed also include a new orchestral piece. The composition commission for this work was issued to Chinese composer Jia Guoping with the support of the EvS Music Foundation. The Chinese works will be performed by the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra.
