Sonorous Art - Bamberg Sculpture Trail set to Music

Neue Musik in Bamberg e. V.

To celebrate its 25 years of existence the Verein Neue Musik new music society in Bamberg will be setting the town’s sculpture trail to music. With the support of the EvS Music Foundation six art works by world-famous contemporary artists placed at six public locations around Bamberg will be “set to music”. Under the guidance of an art historian the audience will experience compositions by Helga Pogatschar, Arash Safaian, Johannes X. Schachtner, Dieter Dolezel, Markus Schmitt and Moritz Eggert on a circuit of art works located around Bamberg. The composers assemble their line-ups from members of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra and Ensemble Zeitsprung. The premiere of the Vertonter Skulpturenweg will open the Bamberg’s 13th new music festival Tage der Neuen Musik Bamberg.
