The Four Dreams of China – Festival 2011

As the highpoint of an already now ten-year presentation of concerts and installations by La Monte Young and Marian Zazeela, in 2011 the art exhibition Kunst im Regenbogenstadl Polling will be presenting two key musical works by these two artists as part of a festival with the support of the EvS Music Foundation: The Four Dreams of China as the debut performance of the complete cycle comprising four concerts and the monumental, four-hour composition Just Charles and Cello in The Romantic Chord. Both works span an artistic career lasting almost 50 years. Kunst im Regenbogenstadl offers a unique opportunity to show a comprehensive presentation of the works of both artists together with permanent installations.
