European Musical Creation Workshop

Centro Imaginario de Estudios Artisticos, Madrid, Spain

The European Musical Creation Workshop is organized by the Centro Imaginario de Estudios Artísticos, located in Madrid. It is both a highly specialized course as a meeting point which aims to contribute to the professional consolidation of young composers and to the development of cooperative networks between composers, players, audiences, and promoters.

With the support of the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation, two different workshop programs, master classes and the Young Composers’ Symposium will be held in 2012. Alberto Posadas and Aureliano Cattaneo will offer a workshop on Musical Writing while Alberto Bernal will teach about New Media and Technologies applied to musical creation. Since Austria is this year’s guest country, Bernhard Lang and Uli Fussenegger will be the guest professors of the master classes. The symposium will enable participants of the workshops, alumni, composers and sound artists to share their work with colleagues.

February – November 2012
