Schwarze Spiegel – miroirs noirs

Oh ton-ensemble: Neue Musik im Nordwesten, Oldenburg, Germany

The “oh ton-ensemble: Neue Musik im Nordwesten” concert series comprises four concerts in Oldenburg each featuring different programs. Departing from advanced aesthetic stances on the part of the composers the concerts will be presented in a different context insofar as this is not detrimental to the musical content. This is achieved using light, an altered use of the stage area (partly by means of a microphone and amplification of the acoustic instruments leading to a different sound) and staged concerts where several pieces virtually flow into each other to form one large integral unit.
With the support of the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation the concert “Schwarze Spiegel – miroirs noirs” will present works by Frédéric Pattar, Helmut Oehring, Leopold Hurt and Jan Kopp on November 14th and 15th. The concerts will be combined with musical appreciation events. For the “Schwarze Spiegel” program cooperation has been initiated in the field of musical appreciation between the Hochschule für Künste Bremen and the local Atelier Neue Musik. Furthermore, where possible, the composers will be invited to discussions. Several such events are planned with Frédéric Pattar in Oldenburg and Bremen.
