INTERACCIONES XXI – Spanisch-deutsche Begegnung zur zeitgenössischen Musik

The Goethe Institute in Madrid and the Centro Nacional de Difusión Musical (CNDM) are continuing their “INTERACCIONES XXI – Spanish-German Meeting on Contemporary Music” in 2018. After Ensemble Modern, Ensemble Musikfabrik, the Neue Vocalsolisten and Ensemble Mosaik 2018 sees another acclaimed German ensemble being hosted – the Aleph Gitarrenquartett. Featured in “Series 20/21”,  CNDM’s concert series for contemporary music and one of the most important platforms for New Music in Spain, the four guitarists will present works by José María Sánchez-Verdú, Mauricio Sotelo and Georg Friedrich Haas as well as two premieres of one Spanish and one German composition commission by Oliver Rappoport and Malte Giesen, funded by the EvS Music Foundation. The concert will be held on May 21, 2018 in the concert hall of the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, a venue boasting excellent acoustics and seating for 400 people. Furthermore, a comprehensive accompanying program will also be offered at the Goethe Institute in Madrid including workshop discussions with musicians and composers.
