MOSTRA SONORA SUECA 2019

Asociación Activa la Idea, Sueca, Spain

MOSTRA SONORA SUECA is an international festival for contemporary music founded in Sueca, Spain in 2005. Sound art, electronic music and artistic works created using new technologies are among the festival's focal points. For over ten years now the international musicians, performers, composers and artists coming here have met with an audience interested in avant-garde sound experiences. A long list of artists taking part in the festival reflects its importance on the international music scene. Educational and appreciation aspects in the program are seen as fundamental components for anchoring contemporary music in society.

For the 15th anniversary of the festival in April 2019, a concert by the trio Accanto featuring works by Georges Aperghis, Christian Wolff, Yu Kuwabara and Helmut Lachenmann is planned while the sextet Forum Neue Vokalmusik will perform Karlheinz Stockhausen's Stimmung and the ensemble Synergein Projec will bring to Sueca works by Georges Aperghis and Alberto Posadas. The pianist Florian Hölscher will also be performing a piece by the Spanish composer Posadas. NEOPERCUSIÓN is also invited with the percussionists Juanjo Guillém, Rafa Gálvez and Iván Ferrer.
