The Young Composers Scheme of the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain is aimed at young choral composers. The year-long program offers participants a unique opportunity to realize new choral works, develop their compositional style, expand their professional network and gain insight and skills from leading British choral experts.

In 2021, the YCS will collaborate with four young British composers, aged 18 to 29, from diverse musical and cultural backgrounds. The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation is making the master classes and concerts of the National Youth Choir's Young Composers Scheme possible.
