Composition Commission issued to Aaron Cassidy

ELISION is issuing a composition commission to Aaron Cassidy, made possible by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation. Cassidy's compositional work focuses specifically on developing extended tablature notation for a broad range of instruments making it possible to prioritize the physical, bodily and mechanical aspects of sound production in music. This approach seeks to reconfigure and realign the role and position of musical notation.
