Composition Commission issued to David Philip Hefti

The Stiftung Württembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn is issuing a composition commission to David Philip Hefti, who will set texts by Sir Salman Rushdie to music on the occasion of the latter's 75th birthday. The composition and choice of text will highlight the purely artistic side to Sir Salman Rushdie and his formative literary motifs and material – a view all too often overshadowed by the political part of his life. The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation is supporting the composition commission issued to David Philip Hefti.
