Composition Commission issued to Stefan Prins

I N H A B I T is an immersive, spatially designed composition by Stefan Pins for four mixed quartets, amplified feedback, instruments and live electronics. The conceptual and sonic dimensions of the composition are very much underscored by the phenomenon of feedback. In addition to four unamplified mixed quartets positioned around the audience, the composition is also created for six instruments that can generate feedback through interaction between a loudspeaker placed next to them and a hooked-up microphone. The composition commission issued by Ensemblekollektiv Berlin is supported by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation.
