Four Composition Commissions

Ensemble for New Music Tallinn, Estonia

Czech composer Alois Hàba had a special six-tone harmonium manufactured. However, his compositions for this harmonium, now housed in the National Museum in Prague, were never presented to an audience on this actual instrument. The Ensemble for New Music Tallinn will now be performing Hàba's compositions on the original instrument and is also awarding composition commissions to Klaus Lang, Marc Sabat, Gérard Pappe and Arash Yazdani, made possible by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation. The new works are being written for Hàba's harmonium and nine musicians of the ensemble.

Due to the current situation and associated regulations, there may be changes at short notice. For the latest information on the project please therefore check enmtallinn.com
