Four Composition Commissions

Israel Contemporary Players, Kiryat Ono, Israel

Israel Contemporary Players (ICP) is the leading ensemble in Israel in the realm of 20th and 21st century music. The ensemble was founded in 1991 by Dan Yuhas with the support of the Jerusalem Foundation, the Jerusalem Municipality and the Israel Broadcasting Authority. ICP today consists of fifteen artists who perform 20th century masterpieces as well as countless avant-garde works with conductors and soloists from Israel and abroad. To mark its 30th anniversary, the ensemble is awarding composition commissions to Yair Klartag (for soprano and ensemble), Amos Elkana (for percussion solo and ensemble), Talia Amar (for ensemble and electronics) and Na'ama Zisser (for ensemble), all made possible by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation.
