Concert Series hw21c_

hand werk, Cologne, Germany

Also in 2021, hand werk will treat Cologne concert audiences to the hw21c_ series – four concerts featuring an international line-up that offer an experimental and professional look at contemporary chamber music. Intense, interesting and challenging works are combined here in a familiar concert format. The focus is on pure musical enjoyment without distraction. Other themes explore the different and geographically clustered teaching traditions and expand scenic horizons in the concert experience.

hw21c_#1: Silent Concert
In this concert performance featuring sound director Sebastian Schottke, headphones take center stage. Inspired by the silent concerts and discos of the entertainment industry, here the audience can experience works for headphones.

hw21c_#2: KLASSE HUBER
This concert presents the music of Nicolaus A. Huber as well as his students. Roman Pfeifer, also a Huber scholar, accompanies the concert as lighting designer.

hw21c_#3: Música Erudita
hand werk presents music by Mexican composers from around the world.

hw21c_#4: GUTE MUSIK 3
Like every year, this concert brings together music from different generations: Allegro Sostenuto by Helmut Lachenmann, works for classical instruments and everyday objects by Clara Iannotta (UA), Jessie Marino, Pedro Alvarez, Dieter Schnebel and Vladimir Gorlinksy all feature as part of the program.
