KLANGSPUREN INTERNATIONAL ENSEMBLE MODERN ACADEMY

While the Tyrolean festival Klangspuren 2019 themed around the topic of cracks very much struck a nerve within current political debates, the festival in 2020, under the motto Bridges, will sound out possibilities to find ways out of the current crisis. The EvS Music Foundation is supporting the Klangspuren International Ensemble Modern Academy (IEMA) – the annual 12-day academy for highly talented young musicians from all over the world held as part of the festival. From some 120 applications, about 35 students will be selected to rehearse with Composer-in-Residence Adriana Hölszky and deepen their knowledge of her works also in theoretical discourses. In 2020, the young musicians will once again have the opportunity to present the results of their work to the public in final concerts.
