Composition Commission issued to Alexander Schubert

Copenhagen-based contemporary music ensemble NEKO3 is commissioning a new 15-minute multimedia work by Hamburg-based composer Alexander Schubert.

The rapid development of technology is heralding in a use of electronics in contemporary music as a central medium, which Alexander Schubert also features in his compositions. His works explore the conception of electronic music and visual art, technological extensions to human life, such as motion sensors, through to developed artificial intelligence. The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation has made the composition commission possible.
