Composition Commission issued to Charlotte Torres

A world of sound in which whirling, puffing and grinding noises transcend the simple sound effects and form a language of their own. Timbres toys with the appeal of different acoustic possibilities that break away from traditional applications in order to draw from a rich wealth of sounds and thus enter new worlds.

After the concert series Klein! and Grenzen SoundTrieb now presents Timbres featuring works by Helga Arias, Franck Bedrossian and Liza Lim. The ensemble is also issuing a composition commission to Charlotte Torres funded by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation.
