Composition Commission issued to Tansy Davies

Court-Circuit and Scotland's sound festival have commissioned Tansy Davies to compose a horn trio which will be performed in Aberdeen and Paris together with Gérard Grisey's Accords Perdus and works by György Ligeti and Philippe Hurel. The program ties in with the focus of the sound festival and concentrates in 2020 on the French horn as an "endangered instrument". The Franco-British composition project enables an intercultural and cultural exchange between Tansy Davies, Philippe Hurel, the musicians and the audience. Master classes with Philippe Hurel will also be held at Aberdeen University. The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation is supporting the composition commission issued to the British composer Tansy Davies.
