ZeitGenuss 2021: Composition Commissions issued to Dai Fujikura and Sara Glojnarić

2021 sees ZeitGenuss, the City of Karlsruhe's festival for music of our time, enter its ninth edition. In addition to new works by students from Karlsruhe's University of Music for the Aleph Guitar Quartet, Ensemble TEMA, the Christuskirche Chamber Choir and percussionist Leonie Klein, contemporary percussion literature will see the addition of not one but two new pieces of work: A solo work by Sara Glojnarić and a work by composer Dai Fujikura for duo will be premiered in a percussion concert. This instrumental evening will bring together different percussive stances, thereby sonically visualizing the different works with this body of instruments that is still underestimated and thus not yet fully exploited. The two composition commissions are being sponsored by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation.
