SIGMA ORIONIS

SIGMA PROJECT, San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Spain

The saxophone quartet SIGMA PROJECT is organizing a digital concert season facilitated by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation. Composition commissions like works by Alberto Posadas, Roberto Sierra, Hilda Paredes, Simone Movio, Liza Lim, Raphaël Cendo, José-María Sánchez-Verdú, Joan Magrané, Raquel García-Tomás and Manuel Hidalgo will be performed by the SIGMA PROJECT and broadcast on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and Zoom.

From October 2020 to March 2021 nine micro concerts will be created that are freely available for everyone with digital discussions promoting an exchange between musicians, composers and the audience. At the same time, the ensemble addresses saxophonists from throughout the world publishing short videos to explain various playing techniques.
