Liberté D`Action

Berliner Festspiele / Musikfest Berlin, Germany

Sounds of prepared pianos, one voice and live electronics, the bodies of the actor and two pianists. “Liberté d’action”, the freedom of action, has narrow limits on stage – just like in real life. At the center of the new piece by Henri Michaux and Heiner Goebbels is the work of an unassimilated maverick and outsider: Henri Michaux (1899-1984). An outstanding painter and at the same time a very modern, eloquent poet. In his poetic, evocative and explosive texts, he engages in a kind of exorcism against himself and the rest of the world.

The guest performance of this staged concert is made possible by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation and will be presented in September 2021 as part of the Musikfest Berlin.

Due to the current situation and associated regulations, there may be changes at short notice. For the latest information on the project please therefore check berlinerfestspiele.de
