Life Is Live

Stiftung Lucerne Festival, Switzerland

Life Is Live, a contemporary music concert from Switzerland, is a display of vital signs. As part of the mini edition of LUCERNE FESTIVAL planned at short notice works by LUCERNE FESTIVAL ALUMNI Barblina Meierhans (*1982), Nadir Vassena (*1970) and Oscar Bianchi (*1975) will be performed here. The premiere of Meierhans’ composition will involve some eight musicians of whom seven will feature as the core ensemble on stage and one person will be placed as a remote wind player. It is not just a spatial but also a musical proximity and distance that are of significance here – sending out a signal. The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation is facilitating the concert as part of the mini festival.
