Zafraan Ensemble, Berlin, Germany

With UA Berlin, the Zafraan Ensemble tells the story of Berlin and its contemporary music of the last 100 years in ten discussion concerts. Each concert is based on a decade from the 1910s onwards and takes place at a special venue. Ten composition commissions will be awarded for this, funded by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation, and will relate the historical chapters to current ideas and movements.
