Wigmore Hall Concerts

The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation is facilitating two concerts by the Nash Ensemble.
At the Wigmore Hall Concerts, members of the Nash Ensemble will meet instrumentalists and composers from the Royal Academy of Music. The composition process will be artistically supervised by Simon Holt, Harrison Birtwistle, Colin Matthews and professors from RAM. Two of the new compositions will finally be presented alongside works by Harrison Birtwistle and Colin Matthews.
Further works by Harrison Birtwistle will be performed at a second concert evening together with music by Mark-Anthony Turnage, Simon Holt and Julian Anderson. To mark Colin Matthews' 75th birthday a Lied cycle by the composer will also be staged.
