American Immersion: Clemens Gadenstätter

Talea Ensemble, Long Island City, USA

After the success of the first edition of the American Immersion project featuring Beat Furrer at its focus, the Talea Ensemble is now to repeat the project with Clemens Gadenstätter. The aim here is to create a lasting forum in which composers can be presented to the American public. The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation is supporting the project. At present Gadenstätter is only little known on the American music scene – American Immersion now places the composer in the foreground. Gadenstätter will be present in New York for a whole month. By way of public rehearsals, readings, spoken-word concerts and a portrait concert he will give a variety of interested parties access to his music.
