GLASS FARM ENSEMBLE – Concerts with Contemporary Music in New York 2015/16

Glass Farm Ensemble, New York, USA

In the 2015/16 season the Glass Farm Ensemble in New York will be presenting five concerts of New Music to be supported by the EvS Music Foundation. Also performed here will be three commissioned works by Juraj Kojs, Daniel Ott und Bettina Skrzypczak. Alongside these new compositions and classics of New Music the audience will also be able to enjoy nine US premieres.

The ensemble performs New Music at the highest professional level, breaks down the classic divisions between performers and the audience and presents New Music in a lively and interesting way. In addition to key contemporary pieces its repertoire also particularly includes works that are less well known in New York or the USA.

Every season the Glass Farm Ensemble issues several composition commissions. Musicians or attending composers comment on the concerts whose artistic project management has, for over 15 years now, come care of the experienced composer and pianist Yvonne Troxler.

In March 2016 a group of Swiss musicians in New York will also be holding two concerts and a workshop together with the Glass Farm Ensemble in collaboration with the Bloomingdale School of Music.
