The Bottle Episode

The term bottle episode denotes a minimalistically produced episode of a series. With their project of the same name Ensemble Adapter is picking up on this idea, developing together with Jessie Marino a concept outside the concert framework. The quartet is also not documenting its concerts by video stream but creating musical content that works with but not for the Internet. The Bottle Episode is a self-referential act during which the creators question the direction their work should take while at the same time finding creative ways to interrupt the audience’s expectations of the music. The digital formats are being made possible by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation and will be presented on Facebook, YouTube and SoundCloud.
