Sound Plasma

Ensemble for New Music Tallinn, Estonia

Sound Plasma is a festival for alternative intonation music dedicated in 2020 to Spectral Music. The fourth edition of the festival presents milestones in spectral works based on tonal colors full of micro intervals and micro tones.
The Estonian premiere of In Vain by Georg Friedrich Haas seen as the festival’s highpoint is a great marvel of listening and sensual experience written for 24 musicians and lighting. In this work the composer redefines and reinvents the concept of spectral music while at the same time perfecting the art of sound-based music. The festival in Tallinn has been made possible by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation and comprises several performances, lectures, masterclasses and symposia with ensemble members and invited guests.
