Traiettorie – Rassegna Internazionale di Musica Moderna e Contemporanea

Fondazione Prometeo, Parma, Italy

Since 1991 the international festival for modern and contemporary music Traiettorie has been held every fall. In its 24th edition in 2019, it concentrates on a varied repertoire from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The radical break of the Viennese School is to be the focus when international ensembles and soloists come to Parma this time. Different compositional approaches and visions of musical tendencies will be presented that often coexisted separately. Alongside key works of the 20th century, such as Schönberg's Pierrot Lunaire, the program also includes Italian premieres and debut performances by young artists, for whom the festival offers an important platform. Featuring will be Klangforum Wien, Arditti Quartet, Accroche Note, Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Hae-Sun Kang, Ciro Longobardi, Mario Caroli and Akiko Okabe-Dierstein. The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation will be supporting the festival.
