Beyond Europe, new relations - old questions

The contemporary European music scene has strongly been trying to look into what is happening beyond the European borders in terms of contemporary music.
The project includes four programms by three respected ensembles of which Talea represents the transatlantic partner, Ictus and Neue Vokalsolisten the European ones. The subjects of the performed pieces relate to Bolivia, New York and Beirut to name just a few and include 15 composers of whom the majority comes from elsewhere than Europe.
