Madrigale Contemporaneo

Fondazione Prometeo, Parma, Italy

The madrigal is a secular vocal music composition that emerged in the 14th century, developing strongly during the Renaissance to reach its highpoint in the 17th century. Today, the genre features at the heart of the Madrigale Contemporaneo project offering creative possibilities to rediscover the madrigal in our current times.

As part of Festival Traiettorie, Ensemble Prometeo will present contemporary madrigal compositions by Daniele Bravi, Luigi Manfrin and Lara Morciano. The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation is facilitating the concert in Parma.

Due to the current situation and associated regulations, there may be changes at short notice. For the latest information on the project please therefore check fondazioneprometeo.org
