Karlheinz Stockhausen – MONTAG from LICHT

For the first time now, Karlheinz Stockhausen's LICHT cycle is to be presented by an artistic team: From 2018 to 2023, the operas of LICHT will be performed by the chamber orchestra Le Balcon, the Philharmonie de Paris and the Festival d'Automne à Paris. This long-term project will make it possible to hear the seven operas in their artistic unity and in fact realize the first staging of some of these operas. The Festival d'Automne will feature Karlheinz Stockhausen's MONTAG aus LICHT (1988) to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2022. The performance is sponsored by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation.
