57th Opatija Music Panel

The 57th edition of the Opatija Music Panel presents works by European and Croatian composers on the contemporary music scene. This year's line-up includes many highly acclaimed ensembles, most notably the renowned Riot Ensemble, the international Ensemble Synchronos (Austria/Croatia/USA), the Croatian vocal ensemble Antiphonus plus the Harmony of Dissonance as a very special project. The vocal ensemble made up of students from Zagreb's Academy of Music is dedicated to traditional Croatian singing in jazz and ethno arrangements. Contemporary jazz will be performed by the Croatian free jazz quartet Reel Problems.

In addition to the festival concerts, a masterclass for music students from Split, Pula, Osijek and Zagreb will be held by the members of the Riot Ensemble. The program also includes several discussion events, lectures and artist talks, creating a space for exchange made possible by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation.
