In March 2017 at Wigmore Hall, the Nash Ensemble presents its annual survey of the best of British Contemporary Music with the support of EvS Music Foundation. The programme includes two World Premieres by Colin Matthews and Simon Holt, a London Premiere by Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, and performances of recent premieres by Julian Anderson, and another Nash commission by Huw Watkins. In addition there will be related Education work.
The Nash Ensemble is joined by the eminent conductor Martyn Brabbins and the internationally renowned baritone Roderick Williams for its annual survey of the best in British contemporary music.
In addition the Nash will collaborate with Wigmore Hall's Learning Department with workshops, talks and discounted tickets for pupils in the Westminster, Kensington and Marylebone areas; with the Royal Academy of Music giving masterclasses and coaching to the students and offering discounted tickets. Some of the composers having their pieces performed on March 21st will give workshops at the RAM, and the students will be invited to attend the pre-concert talk.
