Connecting worlds

MUSICA festival international des musiques d’aujourd’hui, Strasbourg, France

Musica was founded in Strasbourg in 1982 under the direction of the Ministry of Culture and is one of the most important European festivals dedicated to musical creation.

The festival in 2021 will feature four program focuses: The city of Strasbourg with its outskirts, in Alsace and the Grand Est region; a consideration of environmental issues from a symbolic and experimental point of view; a reflection on the oscillation between virtuality and reality that we are all, more than ever, confronted with; and finally, a panorama of New Music in the United States, reflecting the vitality of the American scene. The festival is facilitated by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation.

Due to the current situation and associated regulations, there may be changes at short notice. For the latest information on the project please therefore check festivalmusica.fr
