Eight Composition Commissions

Bludenzer Tage zeitgemäßer Musik, Bludenz, Austria

 

The 29th edition of the contemporary music festival Bludenzer Tage zeitgemäßer Musik is the fourth edition under the direction of young Italian composer Clara Iannotta. With the support of the EvS Music Foundation the festival will be issuing eight composition commissions to Enno Poppe, Hanna Hartmann, Andrew Greenwald, Giulia Lorusso, Pia Palme, Joanna Bailie, Alexander Chernyshkov und Yukiko Watanabe.

Ensemble Nikel will be performing the opening concert. At the second concert cellist Sévérine Ballon will be presenting pieces composed by and for her including a work by the Swedish composer Hanna Hartmann. Here Sévérine Ballot for instance plays with two bows or with a fiddle that is attached to her cello. At the third concert Ensemble Distractfold will be debuting commissioned works.
