CONTAINER – International Festival of Expanded Music

Container is an international platform founded in 2011 to create a New Music scene in Uruguay and promote generations of South American musicians and composers. Alongside discussions and workshops, the program includes concerts featuring compositions by Katharina Rosenberger, Osvaldo Budón, Fabrizio Di Salvo and Fernando Manassero. Generation Kill by Stefan Prins and James Tenney's Having never written a note for percussion will also be performed. The festival is made possible in 2021 by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation. Guests include performer Juanita Fernández and the percussion ensemble reConvert.
