Akademie Etchings 2015: Franck Bedrossian and Nicholas Isherwood

Composer Franck Bedrossian and singer Nicholas Isherwood will be guests at the 2015 edition of the Etchings Festival. Funded by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation the event promotes contemporary music by supporting aspiring young composers.
This year the participants will be composing short works for song to then be performed by Nicholas Isherwood and the Ecce Ensemble. The singer will also teach contemporary vocal techniques. Franck Bedrossian will supervise participants in rehearsals, teaching sessions and masterclasses.
Participants at the academy come from throughout the world. What is special about the event is its familiar atmosphere making it possible to focus on each of the participants individually. Students know that they can expect a professional performance of their works: the Ecce Ensemble rehearses with them every day which then often leads to longer term cooperations.
