CEME Festival 2022

Meitar Ensemble, Tel Aviv, Israel

The CEME Festival and masterclass is being held now already for the eleventh time in succession. For this year’s edition the Berlin-based South Korean composer Unsuk Chin will be invited on her first visit to Israel, accompanied by the new Composer-in-Residence of the Meitar Ensemble, Mauro Lanza. The line-up not only includes works by both composers but also music by Yair Klartag, Wojtek Blecharz, Ruben Seroussi and Chaya Czernowin, that will be performed by the Meitar Ensemble, Magu and Hashtag Ensemble. This year’s masterclass will invite 28 students who will compose for solo instruments or chamber music line-ups and will be mentored by Chin and Lanza. The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation is making the CEME Festival possible.

Due to the current situation and associated regulations, there may be changes at short notice. For the latest information on the project please therefore check meitar.net
