Composition Commission issued to Ataç Sezer

The Munich-based composer Ataç Sezer is composing an unusual piece for an unusual ensemble: The three young Italian musicians of the Ensemble Azione Improvisa will be premiering 12-15 minutes of Sezer's work for electric guitar, theorbo and accordion at the Umbrian festival Musica Insieme Panicale. Sezer often combines old and new, European and non-European instruments in one work. The versatile, improvisational young ensemble and Sezer, born and trained in Turkey, therefore make a perfect fit promising an exciting premiere.
