60th Anniversary of Camerata Zürich

During the anniversary season Camerata Zürich will be issuing a total of five composition commissions that will be supported by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation. To mark the 60th anniversary of the chamber orchestra five Swiss composers will be asked to compose a work: Thomas Demenga, Alfred Zimmerlin and Jürg Wyttenbach as well as Stephanie Haensler and the sound artist and composer Cyrill Lim.

The works will form part of the subscription concerts and will be juxtaposed in dialog with masterpieces from earlier centuries. Furthermore, they will also form part of four Sunday matinee concerts aimed at promoting music appreciation among young people.
