Portrait of Peter Ruzicka to mark his 70th Birthday | Literaturhaus München

In honor of the composer, conductor and director Peter Ruzicka Munich’s house of literature Literaturhaus München is organizing a portrait concert under the direction of Tanja Graf together with ensemble risonanze erranti conducted by Peter Tilling. The concert will feature works from various creative periods of this composer born in 1948. In addition to featuring Ruzicka’s first published composition Esta noche the event will see performances of the ensemble work Tombeau for bass flute and strings as well as the Lied cycle Der die Gesänge zerschlug for baritone and ensemble. To complement this, works by composers that have influenced and accompanied Peter Ruzicka will also feature: Hans Werner Henze’s Die weiße Rose for ensemble, Franz Liszt’s Nuages gris and Unstern! Sinistre in an edited version for ensemble by Peter Tilling as well as Richard Wagner’s Elegie. Concluding the program will be a premiere of JAGD, a work written by Peter Ruzicka for ensemble risonanze erranti in 2018.
