Music About Now

London Sinfonietta, Great Britain

The London Sinfonietta is one of the world's leading ensembles for New Music. The 2020/21 season, under the motto "Music about Now", brings together a series of twelve concerts featuring major premieres of works exploring today's society, thereby inspiring reflection and deliberation. The program presents cross-discipline music projects and established voices as well as composers at the start of their careers.

In addition to James Dillon's Pharmakeia, presented together with a visual treatment by students of London's Central Saint Martins School of Art, Luke Bedford's In the Voices of the Living, Laura Bowler's extinction and works by George Lewis, Dai Fujikura, Nicole Lizée and Cathy Milliken will also be premiered.
