Composition Commission issued to Hilda Paredes

Spanish contemporary music ensemble Taller Sonoro is celebrating its 20^th anniversary with a composition commission issued to Mexican composer Hilda Paredes to be performed at X Festival Encuentros Sonoros in Seville. Since its inception the group has elaborated new scores of the highest quality for the Spanish and international audience. Its success can be gauged by its numerous festival and concert appearances as well as through its collaboration with the most varied international artists. The ensemble enjoys close collaboration with the composer who lives in London. Together with Paredes the ensemble also organizes composition workshops for young students during the concerts. The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation is funding the composition commission.
